This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit Lyon, share a collective experience in our Masterproef year, see a lot of art along the way, and most importantly, meet and work together with the students from ENSBA on a joint exhibition project in the school in Lyon. The idea is that for this everyone brings a small art work (around A4-A3 size, can be in 2D or in 3D) with them to Lyon! As the trip will involve collaboration, time to install and open the exhibition, as well as visits to exhibitions and sites of interest, we are planning a four-day trip, from 9–12 December. Here is the provisional schedule:Tuesday 9 December 09:00 – Departure from Ghent 16:00 – Stopover in Dijon (visit to Museum Le Consortium) 20:00 – Arrival in Lyon, check in at hostel, dinner Wednesday 10 December 9:00-10:15 – Breakfast in hostel, group meeting 13:30 – walk from hostel to ENSBA through Lyon city centre 11:00 – Visit to ENSBA, meeting the students, guided tour of the school and studios 13:00 – Shared lunch with KASK and ENSBA students 14:00 – Discussion about the group exhibition project Afternoon – Start of organisation/installation of group exhibition project Thursday 11 December Morning – Visits to museums in Lyon Afternoon – ⋆。˚ ⋆。˚ Opening event for the group exhibition project ⋆。˚ ⋆。˚ Evening – collective dinner and drinks with the whole group, KASK and ENSBA Friday 12 December 09:00 – Departure from Lyon 10:00 – Stopover at Le Corbusier’s Sainte-Marie de la Tourette (a UNESCO World Heritage site and former school for young priests, open to the public, see image below)Rest of day – Drive back to Ghent (arrival late evening) Costs As this is a four-day trip, with travel and three nights in a hostel (including breakfast every morning), the cost is estimated at approximately €230 per person. By signing up you commit to participating at these costs. More information: masterfinearts@hogent.be. Note: When you submit this form, it will not automatically collect your details like name and email address unless you provide it yourself.
